The Neal Family Tradition Lives On

Tom and Vida Neal were the undisputed pioneers in making Concan a family vacation destination in Texas. They literally built the vacation industry here, starting with rustic cabins and the famous Neal’s Dining Room, where you can still sink your teeth into Vida’s famous chicken fried steak. Buchanan Vacation Homes are one of the many places to stay in Concan TX.

After almost a century of change, Tom and Vida Neal’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren are keeping alive the tradition of welcoming family and friends to Concan and the Frio River.

Buchanan Vacation Homes are still in the Neal family’s hands. Shane (great-grandson) and his wife, April of the Neal family take great pride in being a part of a long history of hospitality and family fun on the Frio River.
